India’s unemployment rate rose to a 45 years high.
Survey conducted during july 2017- june 2018. Business Standard newspaper published India’s Unemployement Data on Thursday. This survey is big setback for PM Narendra Modi before 2019 Loksabha election.
As per the survey, unemployment rate in India stood at 6.1 %. This rate is highest since 1972-73 as drought conditions worst in that year.
Business Standard report said that unemployement stood at 7.8 % in urban area and rest is 5.3 %.
India’s economy increasing day by day but with GDP unemployment is also increasing. PM narendra modi 2014 Elections manifesto promised jobs for unemployed Indians.
